Ranked #170 in Retail (up 19 from last month). 

Ever since I turned 21, this has been my go-to dispensary in the North Seattle area. The prices are amazing—flowers from growers that typically cost $25 or more go for $20 or even less at Ike’s Lake City. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about cannabis. Malcolm and Tawni are fantastic, and the entire Ike’s Lake City team has made my experience great every time I visit.

Literally don’t know how this place is still open when greener today and zips exist. Yesterday was the last time I’ll be back. They told me my vertical ID isn’t valid when the ID mandate doesn’t go into place until the 7th. It was the 6th and I was just there the day before with the same ID. On top of that, their online prices is always janky and wrong. They hardly ever value the discounts from the app because “they’re working on it”…. whatever that means and they’re always closed before 11:45pm. You’d honestly have so much better luck goin anywhere else. Mount Bakers 10pk of joints are 12$ at Greener Today, where Ike’s has them for $25. The Oz’z at zips are nowhere near the price of this place. Spend your money elsewhere where you can get great customer service, honest feedback, and great bud for the price !

After my experience on Thursday night, I was going to leave a review for the situation explained later. However, I deleted the review because I’m honestly not the type of person who complains about things. Ever. Nor have I ever had a problem with a budtender or any retail store employee. I too, myself, have worked customer service for companies like AT&T and Nintendo and understand how difficult it can be.

But upon coming back Friday, in which the same employee from last night was checking me out again at the register, not only will I consider his suggestion of shopping elsewhere like Zips or Dockside but I’ve also decided to leave the review I deleted, after what took place today.

First off, as he was checking me out he didn’t even ask for my phone number to register the points for my purchase today nor did he ask if I wanted to use a discount from my account for all the other items I was purchasing besides the flower.

Instead after he confirmed the ounce of flower was indeed discounted at 30%, he proceeded to insist that yesterday night I asked for a 40% discount and not 30% (which wasn’t the case because I’ve gone to this store for over a year and it’s always been 30% but even if I did say that, why wouldn’t he correct a mistake instead of acting like they offer no such deal and asking for proof of anywhere it says something like that).

Then he suggested I’m going to need to shop at somewhere else. Finally he topped it off by telling me I should just smoke the weed I bought and chill out. I’ve never experienced an employee at any store ever talking to me like that in my entire life and put this at the number one most horrendous customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Here is the original review I wrote last night, but then deleted:

Well, I would give 5 stars but I came here tonight—admittedly it was late, somewhere between 11:30-11:40–and I wasn’t able to make my usual purchase. For some reason the flower I had preordered, 1 oz (28 grams) of Bacon’s Buds Donny Burger, was not showing up on the register with a 30% discount. But, when I had made the preorder, the Uncle Ike’s app showed a red line through the price of $360.00, with a price of $252.00 directly below it.

Nevertheless, I have been going to this store for over a year and on average, twice a week, on top of receiving daily notifications from the app—so I consider myself well familiarized with any ongoing deals of this establishment. So naturally, I inquired about the deal for 30% off of ounces.

Unfortunately, to my shock and surprise, I was asked “if I could show where I’m seeing or reading that price or deal” and essentially was requested to provide  proof that any such deal exists.

Well, to make matters worse, my SIM card hadn’t been working, so I wasn’t receiving any service inside the store and therefore, had no way to pull up the Uncle Ike’s app or website and provide any such proof.

To top that off, I forgot to ask if I could just use a discount from my account, since, at the time of writing, I currently have 7556 (seven-thousand, five hundred and fifty six) points.

Anyway, upon arriving home, I checked the Uncle Ike’s app and saw 1 oz (28 grams) of Bacon’s Bud Donny Burger listed for the discounted $252.00.

I would share a screenshot but I immediately preordered it for pick up when you open next and it must have been the last one in stock, so after making my preorder, the 1 oz (28 grams) of Bacon Bud’s Donny Burger disappeared from the menu.

However—I have provided multiple screenshots from the Uncle Ike’s website, set to the Lake City location, that include the home page and a page titled “Cannabis Specials For Sale” (available from the “Specials” tab in the menu header or by googling “Uncle Ike’s April deals” and clicking the first result, “April Cannabis Deals”). In the included screenshots of your website you will see text and/or graphics displayed clearly and obviously stating “30% off of ounces above $99”. It  even explicitly states “Website cart may not reflect the bundled price but it will be adjusted at time of payment”.

Been a regular till now. They don’t accept vertical eligible ID’s anymore.(Above 21)
Not even complying with different sort of IDs which notes the birth year as well. If you’re changing your policy for the (vertical) change that only!!
Why can’t be different Ids be accepted?
I wish google could gave me a option to give a negative review. Sorry gys I was an honest kinda regular customer. Don’t take the businesses for granted. Make it a worth policy where alternatives can be worked out. Showed my license from a different country. Even my International drivers license. I never expected this behaviour. You had me Ikes… but after today, I don’t know what to say else here.

Top-tier service best uncle Ike‘s around. Tawni was very knowledgeable and informative great service.!
